Scope/Overview:

Prepares the student to understand one's role and responsibilities in the investigation of wildfires, different fire cause categories, fire behavior, responding to a fire and what to do upon arrival at the scene of a Wildland fire. List various causes of Wildland fires and their cause indicators. Perform the basic procedures and techniques needed to provide witness/observer information to fire investigators. Quickly and accurately identify and protect Wildland fire origin areas.
