Scope/Overview:

Prerequisite training verification form for participation in Live Fire Training - must be completed prior to class and brought to class or student will not be able to participate. Must be able to bring NFPA complient gear to class for each student. Discussion and observation in an 8 hour course which teaches firefighters to recognize the signs leading to FLASHOVER. Allows firefighters in a live fire laboratory to observe the phases of fire and the process of pyrolisis. Provide firefighters with nozzle techniques, to possibly give them time prior to flashover to: ESCAPE, Affect a rescue, Find the seat of the fire, Perform vertical ventilation.

Requirements(s):

  • Must be able to bring NFPA complient gear to class for each student.

Student Equipment:

  • Complete and compliant Structural PPE and SCBA Prerequisite training verification form for participation in Live Fire Training - must be completed prior to class and brought to class or student will not be able to participate.
