- Ability to work at heights greater than 20 feet above the ground
- Physically fit

- NFPA 1006, Standard for Rescue Technician Professional Qualifications, Chapters 5 & 6, 2003 edition
Student Equipment:
- NFPA compliant protective helmets, boots, and gloves (rescue PPE preferred).
