Construct simple and compound mechanical advantage systems, along with patient packaging and transport in high angle environments.

Prerequisite(s):

  • Rope Rescue Operations Part 1
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 20 feet above the ground
  • Physically fit

Accredited Certification Level:

IFSAC accreditation pending.

Standards Met:

NFPA 1006, Standard for Rescue Technician Professional Qualifications, Chapters 5 & 6, 2003 edition

Student Equipment:

NFPA compliant protective helmets, boots, and gloves (rescue PPE preferred).
