Hazardous Materials Operations for WMD-Haz Mat Emergencies

Scope/Overview:

Provides skill development necessary to safely and effectively respond to, contain, and control incidents involving hazardous substances in a defensive manner.

Prerequisite(s):

  • Hazardous Materials Awareness for WMD-HazMat Emergencies Certification

Accredited Certification Level:

IFSAC Accredited Certification. The exam requires an additional eight (8) hours upon completion.

NFPA 472, Standard on Professional Competence of Responders to Hazardous Materials Incidents, (4.1.2.2), OSHA (29 CFR 1910.120q), EPA (40 CFR 31, Office of Domestic Preparedness, Emergency Responder Guidelines, 2002.
