Hazardous Materials Awareness for WMD-HazMat Emergencies

Scope/Overview:

Provides skill development for first responders who, in the course of their normal duties, could be the first on the scene of an emergency involving a hazardous substance. NFPA 472 compliant.

Course Length:

8 hours

Feature(s):

  • Students receive instruction on the use of the "Emergency Response Guidebook" as well as DOT placards and markings, and initial emergency scene procedures.

Accredited Certification Level:

IFSAC accredited certification. The exam requires an additional one (1) hour upon course completion.
