Fire Fighter I Live Burn

Scope/Overview:

Provides basic skills and knowledge to safely and effectively extinguish fires at the Fire Fighter I level.

Course Length:

8 hours

  • Fire Extinguishment through Loss Control
  • Fire Control Using Ventilation Procedures

Feature(s):

  • A Live Fire Evaluation will be conducted during this course; the course work will usually be followed by an open Fire Fighter I Certification test.

Requirements(s):

  • Must have signed Live Fire Training Varification Form

Accredited Certification Level:

There is no certification level with this class.

Standard(s) Met:

  • NFPA 1403, and 1001 (Fire Fighter I level)

Student Equipment:

  • Students must bring: Full PPE and SCBA (NFPA compliant), with spare cylinder (current hydrostatic test).
