Flammable Gas Emergencies (LPG)

Scope/Overview:

Features essential knowledge and skills for handling flammable gas incidents in transportation or at fixed facilities. The 12-hour training includes eight hours of classroom, followed by four hours of live burn instruction. The course is recommended to emergency responders in public safety and industry. This will include Live Burn Evaluation.

Course Length:

12 hours

Prerequisite(s):

  • (Preferred Hazardous Materials Operations)
  • Completed and Signed Live Fire Training Verification Form

Accredited Certification Level:

Completion of the full 12-hour program will merit a "Flammable Gas Emergencies: Operational Level" certificate.

Standards Met:

Fire control components of NFPA 472, NFPA 1081, NFPA 1001 and OSHA 1910.120(q).

Student Equipment:

Full PPE and SCBA with spare air cylinder (current hydrostatic test)
