Emergency Vehicle Driver Training

Scope/Overview:

Provides knowledge and skills for new and existing drivers to safely and effectively operate emergency vehicles.

Special Features:

It is recommended that students bring or drive a vehicle similar to what they are assigned to operate.

Course Length:

8 hours

Prerequisite(s):

  • Verification of current driver's license.

Accredited Certification Level:

There is no certification level with this class.

Standards Met:

VFIS standard

Student Equipment:

Each student must bring a personal or fire department vehicle to class for use on the obstacle course portion of the class.
